History of Washington Township

History of Washington Township, by Country Club of Washington Township, 1950.

The publishing of this 1950 History of Washington Township represents the end of an era—the passing of a township. At the time it was published Alameda County Supervisors helped The County Club of Washington Township, a member of the California Federation of Women’s Clubs, to finance it, so as to make available to them authentic material for the County Centennial in 1953. Originally published in 1904 with updates in 1950.
