Volunteering at the museum is a great way to be involved in the community and to help us out. Volunteers make things happen and are the backbone of our organization. There are plenty of activities that could fit your interests and schedule. We provide opportunities for the following:

Volunteer Opportunities
Tour Docents
Our docents help run the programs for class tours. They lead groups of student in discovery at the museum, at the adobe and also aid students with hands-on activities.
We presently have class tours at the Washington Township Museum of Local History and at Rancho Higuera Historical Park.
We also lead walking tours of historic districts. Interested in being a part of these fun events? Give us a call!
Museum Greeters
Our volunteers keep the doors open. We need your help to greet visitors, to orient them to the museum and to take care of various duties such as filing, organizing, sales, etc.
Museum Collections
Duties may include working in cataloguing, exhibits, or researching information.
If you like to take pictures we need someone to photograph items in the collection.
Do you have these talents to share?
