Museum Manners

Museums are places to have fun and see new things.

Use your imagination about what it was like living in Fremont, Newark or Union City long ago.

Stay focused and listen to your teacher, chaperone, and/or museum guide.

Enjoy discovering new things.

Use precaution around the displays and touch only the items you are allowed to touch.

Museum visits are a time to respect your classmates, leaders, and other visitors in the museum.

Questions

Can the items at the Museum be touched?

Museum items shouldn’t be touched unless a Museum volunteer says it’s OK or if a sign says “Touch Me”. Many of the items are fragile, and some can be dangerous.

Are food and drinks allowed inside?

No food or drinks are allowed inside the Museum. This includes water bottles, gum, and candy.
